Note To My Critics:

The links to the many sites that I've included contain information that I believe to be relevant, be it the graphics, the videos, the undercover investigations, etc. . Exposing & and ending the brutality and savagery inflicted on the non-human animals is what I am focused on. I strongly believe that every voice against animal abuse/exploitation is of value and -and- collectively we have the power to end it. I am here for the animals, not for anyone's approval and for that I make no apologies. ** I do not promote violence towards humans. ___________________________________________________ Bookmark and Share

HOW TO: (Activists) Becoming the Media & Getting Creative

From: Media For Animal Liberation

"Once you change your philosophy, you change your thought pattern. Once you change your thought pattern, you change your -- your attitude. Once you change your attitude, it changes your behavior pattern and then you go on into some action." - Malcolm X

How To: (Activists) Becoming the Media and Getting Creative

(The Let Live Foundation have an entire page dedicated to videos by and for animal rights activists.)

Activists need to become more and more their own media.

Why is the media so important for social movements? Simple. Media shapes our views and views shape our choices. And for the nonhuman animals which are forced into capitivity and exploited by human animals, our views and our choices about it are incredibly important things.

A complicated way of explaining "Media for Animal Liberation" is that "Media for Animal Liberation" argues for:

(1) Activists in the animal rights movement to become more of their own media. This furthers the spread of animal rights philosophy and helps support animal rights campaigns.

(2) Corporate media, corporate PR and industry propaganda, politicians, and governmental rhetoric against animal rights activists and the animal rights movement must be dealt with. These institutions historically and systematically sustain, reinforce, and defend the value and powers of the status quo. Any social movement that challenges "business as normal" has always been marginalized, ignored, demonized, trivialized, and smeared by these same institutions. What we lack in funds, we can make up in sheer numbers.

"Media for Animal Liberation" doesn't exist to take the role from you as an activist to become your own media. "Media for Animal Liberation" is an example of what is possible with an ordinary laptop, internet access, computer software, and self-education of how to use each. If "Media for Animal Liberation" can, there really is no reason why you can't either.
